Prima achieves European success BS EN 1634-1:2008 fire resistance testing at BRE Global (LPCB) for Prima FlameGuard range.

In 2012 the current British Standard BS 476: Part 22 for fire testing steel hinged doors will be superseded by the current European Standard BS EN 1634-1: 2008. Prima have invested now for the future by leading the way carrying out fire tests on our FlameGuard range with BRE Global (LPCB).
Prima achieved a successful test for a Single lipped and non-lipped door incorporating a vision panel up to 203 x 1524mm. Prima also achieved in excess of a 4 hour rating for a double door.
The European standard is a much more onerous test than it’s predecessor and careful design and manufacture were introduced using new techniques and materials to meet the requirements of this demanding test.
The FlameGuard range of doors have been subjected to rigorous testing to prove their resistance against fire attack. This ensures that our products continue to meet the needs of today as well as those for tomorrow which will satisfy and protect the statutory needs of our customers.
The Prima team are extremely pleased with the success of the testing enhancing their relationship with BRE Global. BRE Global is the leading international certification body specialising in the field of fire protection. Its UKAS accreditation is recognised and respected all over the world.
